Sub Teams

Management

The management subteam is responsible for logistics, financing, outreach, events & competition coordination, sponsorship, and communications.

Power Source

The power source subteam designs a small scale power source for vehicle propulsion. We safely optimize the voltage output and amperage of a given chemical reaction for our car.

Stopping Mechanism

The stopping mechanism subteam ensures that the car reaches a full stop when desired due to a mechanism triggered by a chemical reaction. To do so, a chemical reaction and a sensor are designed in such a way that when the reaction reaches completion, the sensor can trigger the car to stop.

Electrical

The electrical subteam deals with the electronic part of the car design, namely the sensor required to detect the end of the reaction, the battery linkage, the control system using Arduino board to start and stop the car and the corresponding logistics and algorithms.

Mechanical

Our mechanical subteam uses softwares such as CAD to design the car and its components. The design process is done in collaboration with the other subteams. In addition, the mechanical subteam is in charge of choosing and assembling car parts such as motors, shafts, bearings, and getting custom 3D printed parts for the car and laser cutting.
